Assistance sensor faults

10.1 Symptom: Ebike pedal assistance function fails.

Solution:

(1) Check whether the display shows error codes. If the error code appears, find out the cause of the fault according to the code.

(2) Check carefully and make sure that the connecting cable between the motor and the controller is firmly and correctly connected.

(3) Test the throttle function,pedal assistance function and push assistance function respectively.

1. If the pedal assistance function does not work, but the throttle and push assistance function still work, it indicates that the pedal assistance sensor may be faulty.

2. If the throttle function, pedal assistance function and push assistance function do not work, it indicates that the motor or controller may be faulty.

Brake pad faults

9.1 Symptom: Brake pad is worn or falling off.

Solution: Brake pad wear is normal. If the wear is serious, replace the brake pads with new ones.


9.2 Symptom: When the brake is not applied, there is friction between the brake pad and the brake disc.

Solution: Please contact the manufacturer, who will provide troubleshooting video.

Light faults

9.1 Symptom: The front light / tail light / brake light does not work.

Solution: Please contact the manufacturer, who will provide troubleshooting video.

Brake disc faults

8.1 Symptom: The brake disc is damaged or deformed.

Solution: Brake pad wear is normal. If the wear is serious, replace the brake disc with a new one.

Throttle faults

8.1 Symptoms: The throttle cannot drive the motor (pedal assistance function and push assistance function are still effective).

Solution:

(1) Check and ensure that the throttle cable is firmly connected.

(2) Switch off the display and then restart the display again, and test the throttle, pedal assistance and push assistance functions respectively.

(3) If the throttle still cannot drive the motor, it indicates that the throttle is faulty.

(4) If the throttle,the pedal assistance function and push assistance function do not work, it indicates that the motor or controller may be faulty.


8.2 Symptoms: Robin, Sam, Eddy and Commuter ebike display showing error code 22.

Solution:

(1) Disconnect the throttle cable and check whether error code 22 disappears.

(2) If code 22 disappears, replace it with a new throttle handle; If code 22 does not disappear, replace the controller.

The brake faults

7.1 Symptom: The brake is too tight. Hold the brake slightly, and the brake will work immediately. It is too sensitive.

Solution: It is recommended to go to the maintenance shop and ask professional technicians to help adjust the brake tightness. The customer is not recommended to solve the problem by themselves.

7.2 Symptom: The brake is too loose. It takes a lot of effort to hold the brake to make it work. The brake is not sensitive.

Solution: It is recommended to go to the maintenance shop and ask professional technicians to help adjust the brake tightness. The customer is not recommended to solve the problem by themselves.

7.3 Symptom: Brake faulty. It takes a lot of effort to hold the brake, and the brake still doesn't work.

Solution: It is recommended to go to the maintenance shop and ask for professional technicians to help repair the brake. The customer is not recommended to solve the problem by themselves.

7.4 Symptom: Brake oil leakage.

Solution: Replace the brake.

7.5 Symptoms: Brake handle is broken.

Solution: Replace the brake.

7.6 Symptom: Brake makes abnormal noise.

Problem 1: The brake makes abnormal noise when it is not operating.

Solution 1:

(1) Check whether the brake disc is bent or structural abnormal. If there is distortion, replace it in time.

(2) Check whether there is friction between the brake pad and the brake disc. adjust it in time if there is friction.

Problem 2: The brake makes abnormal noise when it is braking.

Solution 2:

(1) Check the brake disc for oil contamination. If there is oil stain, clean it in time.

(2) Check whether the brake pad is seriously worn. If the brake pads are seriously worn, replace them in time. 

Brake handle faults

7.1Symptoms: Robin, Sam, Eddy and Commuter display showing error code 25.

Solution: Please contact the manufacturer, who will provide troubleshooting video.

The pedal faults

6.1 Symptom: Pedal wear.

Solution: The pedal belongs to vulnerable parts, and wear is normal.

6.2  Symptoms: The pedal falls off.

Fault 1: The pedal is not installed in place.

Solution 1: Tighten the pedal.

Fault 2: The pedal falls off due to thread damage.

Solution 2: Replace the pedal with a new one.

6.3  Symptom: The foot pedal is not installed in place.

Fault 1: The thread is not aligned when the foot pedal is installed.

Solution 1: Reinstall the pedal. If the thread on the pedal and crank is seriously damaged, then replace the pedal and crank.

Fault 2: The foot pedal does not installed to the end.

Solution 2: Install the foot pedal to the end.

Connector faults

6.1 Symptom: The cable connection is loose and fall off.

Solution: Reconnect the cable and ensure the connection is firm and reliable. Note that the arrow againest to the other arrow when connecting.

       

   

6.2 Symptoms: Robin, Sam, Eddy and Commuter display shows error code 30.

Solution: Please contact the manufacturer, who will provide troubleshooting video.


6.3 Symptom: The front light flashes, sometimes on and sometimes off.

Solution: Please contact the manufacturer, who will provide troubleshooting video.

6.4 Symptom: The display turns off due to vibration during riding.

Solution:

(1) Stop the ebike and check whether the battery, cable and other connections are loose and fall off. Make sure that the electrical parts are firmly connected.

(2) Press the power-on button again to check whether the display can be switched on normally.

(3) If it still fails to switch on the display, contact the manufacturer, who will provide troubleshooting video.

The saddle faults

5.1 Symptom: The saddle is damaged.

Solution: Replace the saddle.

5.2 Symptom: The saddle is loose.

Solution: Tighten the screws.

5.3 Symptom: The seat saddle angle is not appropriate.

Solution: Adjust the angle of the saddle.
